Course Length: 8 weeks; 8–12-week apprenticeship program

Certifications Earned:

  • FOA CFOT®, CFOS/S, CFOS/T, CFOS/D

  • OSHA-30

  • First Aid/CPR/AED

  • Class B CDL

  • Pole Climbing, Ladder, Bucket and Boom Lift Certifications

    The Total Telecom Tech program is designed to recruit, train, and field qualified telecom professionals into the booming telecom construction industry.

Course Breakdown:

  • Week 1: Telecom industry introduction and DOT Physical and CDL Permit Test

  • Week 2: FOA CFOT Training

  • Week 3: First Aid/CPR/AED and OSHA-30 training

  • Week 4: CDL Instruction and Testing

  • Week 5: Telecom systems and design

  • Week 6: Telecom UG construction

  • Week 7: Telecom aerial construction

  • Week 8: Telecom splicing and testing

  • Week 9-UTC: Student Tracked Apprenticeship with Partner Construction Firm

      • Fiber Splicing

      • Fiber Technician/Testing
